The items we make are mutually compatible. It is even possible to connect a push camera to the control unit of a crawler system. The heads are interchangeable on all crawlers.

Our new systems are backwards compatible with control units purchased from us in the past. They will also work with any new equipment we produce to meet future requirements.

SUPPORT WHEEL FOR OVAL PIPES

This wheel is attached to the frame of the crawler and serves to keep the camera system at the right level. The width is adjustable to suit different sizes of pipe. Crawlers fitted with the electric lifting mechanism allow for full adjustment of the wheel from the operator’s position. Tests show it is the most effective wheel for egg-shaped pipes as it can completely traverse entire sections.

A unique aspect of the control unit is its duality – it is portable when it needs to be but it can also be docked and become fully integrated in an inspection van by fixing it under the workbench with quick-release clamps mounted alongside connections to peripherals.

Our software produces graphical reports on inspected sections and has the following functionality:
- Shows graphs with angles of tilt
- Measures ovality via comparison with an assistance ring on the display
- Laser measurement of ovality & widths of cracks and gaps
- Measures sections via pressure testing
- Batch printing of documents
- Graphical ring indicating the direction of the camera head
- Operates to ATV and EN13508-2 standards

Measuring with a laser allows distances to be calculated (e.g. levels of water in caverns). The software features an Isybau module to facilitate easy import into a GIS system, the development of which we have contributed to significantly.

The software comes with a viewer that provides a clear overview (see the image below). Apart from viewing a video feed, users have the option to take screenshots at any time, print reports and produce charts detailing tilt and groundwater inflow. An open license is granted for normal use of the viewer.

The MOL 500 continuous laser is designed for the RV / RN 305 and RV / RN 315 crawlers. It sits between the camera head and crawler. Values for ovality are gauged when the system is moving, resulting a graph which plots ovality over two axes.

DETECTING THE INFLOW OF GROUNDWATER

The ability to detect the inflow of groundwater was an innovation developed by ZIKMUND and unique to us. When a camera reaches a flooded area, the source of it is often uncertain – it could either be water seepage or have run down to the site in question. Our systems can electronically determine whether it stems from inflow through a broken pipe or not. Results are recorded in a graph that reveals the part of the pipe responsible for the otherwise invisible inflow.

If a sewer is breached by groundwater, wastewater treatment plants are faced with an undesirable increase in the volume of water being purified. Detecting this kind of unwanted inflow is crucial to optimizing conditions for such facilities.

LOCATING FUNCTION

The locating function determines the position of pipes from ground level via a transmitter incorporated in the camera head. This means the operator is able to monitor the progress of the unit through the pipe, a process made possible by a locator which registers its position and depth.

An example of a system suitable for locating pipes:
1/ A push camera with an RTH 34 head
2/ All crawlers with the RTH 34, RTH 112 or 112i heads

EXTREMELY ECONOMICAL SOLUTION

If you have a crawler that you use for inspections, you can get the lateral system by purchasing a positioning arm, a transporting trolley and a push camera, which you can also use for inspections of small profiles.

So the price of the lateral system also includes a crawler camera system and a TechWorm push camera system. We are thus saving your funds compared to others.
